I AM FEMALE AND WOULD LIKE TO MENTOR WITH BACK2LIFE. MAY I?
Our programmes work on the understanding that most of us learn gender specific attributes from a person who is the same gender as ourselves. Since our mentees are exclusively male, our mentors are exclusively male.
WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF BACK2LIFE MENTORING?
The BACK2LIFE curriculum and tools are designed for an interactive group engagement of male mentors and mentees which support the one on one mentoring relationships undertaken by mentors who are taught by BACK2LIFE how to hold powerful mentoring conversations. Mentor sessions are facilitated by a qualified and experienced life coach or facilitator.
I WOULD LIKE TO IMPLEMENT A BACK2LIFE MENTORING PROGRAMME FOR BOYS IN MY CLUB OR INSTITUTION. WHAT DO I DO?
If you run a facility or home for boys at risk, we can assist you to implement a BACK2LIFE programme.
We can train your volunteers and provide you with a curriculum. However, you will need an experienced coach or facilitator to facilitate your mentor sessions and offer matching assistance and other support for your mentors. You may also require a co-ordinator or administrator, although he or she could be one and the same person.
DO I HAVE TO JOIN BACK2LIFE IN ORDER TO ATTEND A MENTOR COURSE?
In order to mentor with BACK2LIFE, you must be accepted by BACK2LIFE, become a member and successfully complete the training course. You do not have to be a member to take the course.
Community engagement is an undeniably critical part of ensuring that Back2Life Foundation continues to succeed. Whether you’re a public official, teacher, doctor, lawyer or business man, we need your help and involvement.
